Mácron has established a responsible management system based on the basic environmental protection principles. In its constant quest to improve human and industrial resources and preserve natural resources, Mácron has strived to inform its internal and external people of the applied Environmental Management concepts.
These concepts are based on practices such as selective trash collection, recycling part of the trash, reduction of sources of environmental degradation and impacts with landfills, use of nontoxic inks having lower rates of heavy metals than those stipulated limits, educational presentations to the community, customers and suppliers to spread the word of environmental protection.
Mácron has an environmental committee in place and a team of environmental management auditors involved in all phases of the process. Mácron and the environment can only stand to gain from the improvement opportunities and actions implemented to minimize environmental impacts which have been incorporated into the graphic processes at Mácron.
Together with the industrial area and thanks to the preparation and training of its employees, the Work Safety and Environmental sector has achieved safe and correct waste management; waste has been minimized as much as possible and is monitored by indicators which are closely scrutinized by the Board of Directors. Waste generated during production which cannot be recycled or reused is co-processed according to the criteria and under authorization of the appropriate Environmental agency.
Mácron continually holds events to inform and make employees and their families aware of the environment such as the World Water Day, when educational presentations regarding the conscientious use of electrical power and its sources are given. All events sponsored at the company premises are taken out to the community represented by the Mizuho Abundância State School, where students and their families can learn more about the state of the environment in the world and what we can do to improve the future conditions for our children and their children.
